Estate Agent - Accanta Solutions were initially called in to maintain and stabilise the existing network infrastructure. As the business grew we proposed a new network to meet their growing need and to bring there IT infrastructure up to date. For this particular client we implemented a network based around Small Business Sever 2003 and included hardware firewalls and a wireless network. The wireless network guaranteed data security which many off the shelf wireless solutions do not. This network offer the client many benefits including VPN Access, Web Mail and document management via SharePoint Server. We also set up a persistent VPN connection to remote sites and this was all managed and implemented by Accanta Solutions. The employees were also trained to enable them to effectively use the new network features.
Mortgage Company - The company required there existing Microsoft Network and related hardware to be audited and a proposal for and upgrade. We offered the client a number of solutions each varying in functionality and cost. The client chose the solution that fitted his present and future business needs. Windows 2003 was installed with Exchange 2003. VPN access and web mail were also implemented and are regarded as standard components in today's networks. This was backed up with a support contract to ensure the network is monitored to ensure reliability.
A Construction Company - There was an existing NT 4.0 infrastructure in place. As the business was dynamically changing with many variables it was decided to keep the existing infrastructure as well as the client workstations. As implementation solution that is not aligned with the present and future business needs is bad practice. All the security patches and upgrades were carried out on the servers and workstations. The connection to the internet was upgraded to ADSL.
